NYTEF Plastics Mfg. ISO-9002 Certified
Nytef Plastics, Ltd. announced the certification of its Woodhaven, NY manufacturing facility to ISO-9002 standards for the manufacture of extruded plastics stock shapes. The audit process and subsequent ISO certification was conducted by Tüv Essen, Quality Systems Division.

According to Nytef’s Vice President of Manufacturing, Mike Griffin, "We have always had a quality system, but not a system as comprehensive or widely recognized as the International Standard for Quality Management." Griffin further stated, "Following the ISO guidelines in preparation for this certification was a tremendous team building experience for our employees. Every single worker was an integral part of our successful ISO certification, and I know each member of our manufacturing team is proud of this accomplishment."

The International Standards Organization was established in 1947 to promote the development of standardization and related activities globally. The aim of the organization is to facilitate the international exchange of goods and services, and to develop cooperation in areas of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity. To date, ISO’s work has resulted in 12,000 International Standards, representing over 300,000 pages of documentation.
