Klöckner Pentaplast Acquires Witt Plastics, Inc.
Klöckner Pentaplast of America, Inc. announced the acquisition of Witt Plastics, Inc. of Greenville, OH. Witt Plastics is a manufacturer of custom extruded high impact polystyrene (HIPS) and polypropylene (PP) films. Witt Plastics’ films are currently used in the food, medical, printing, electronic, and general-purpose thermoforming markets.
According to John Witt, former owner and chairman of Witt Plastics, "I am proud of the business we have built and the customer relationships we have developed through the 29 years of dedicated service and commitment by Witt employees. Looking toward my own retirement, I have searched for a new owner that shares that same commitment to high quality and excellent customer service. Klöckner is that company." John Witt will continue in a consulting role after the sale. Jim Steyer will continue to serve in his current capacity as Witt’s president.
