Acquisition
Gibraltar Plastic Products announced the acquisition of PlexArt & Displays. The company will be operated as a custom acrylic fabrication Division of Gibraltar. PlexArt & Displays has been offering custom acrylic fabrication since 1964, and developed the camera lenses utilized by JPL for the 1969 Apollo Moon Landing Mission.

Gibraltar has purchased all assets of the company and announced retention of key management and craft personnel.

Although Gibraltar has always offered acrylic fabrication as an adjunct to its plastic vacuum forming services, the addition of PlexArt personnel and expertise to Gibraltar’s continually growing range of manufacturing capabilities permits greater versatility in this important industry segment.

Gibraltar is a custom manufacturer of vacuum-formed plastic and fabricated acrylic displays; thermoformed packaging, housings, trays and inserts; and thermoformed and fabricated signage and fixtures. Gibraltar also offers a wide range of secondary services.
