Crown Achieves ISO Certification
Crown Plastics Company, manufacturers of thin gauge UHMW, achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. This certification demonstrates Crown Plastics’ commitment to quality and service. It will augment the company’s efforts to pursue new applications and markets.

Gary Ellerhorst, Chief Operating Officer, states that this is not an end, but a beginning. “Everyone in the company has invested a tremendous amount of time and energy accomplishing this task. Now, what we do with this certification is critical. Since the primary purpose of the ISO certification is to improve quality, customer service and company performance, we will use this as a tool to expand business and develop new markets and products.”

Crown Plastics Company supplies UHMW in gauges from .003" to .125" and in widths from 1/4" to 24". Crown’s unique continuous compression molding process allows UHMW to be produced in long continuous coils with tight tolerance and low stress.

Crown can also provide all of its gauges in bondable form, supplied with a peel and stick adhesive system, thereby eliminating the need for mechanical fastening, eliminating waste and reducing downtime.

Crown also offers all of its gauges in a conductive form and now offers higher temperature UHMW with a continuous operating range of 275°F.
