Heian Celebrates 70th Anniversary

Stiles Machinery Inc. celebrates the 70th anniversary of Heian Corporation along with the 40th anniversary of their introduction of the world’s first circular cutting NC router. Stiles is the exclusive U.S. distributor for Heian of Hamamatsu, Japan. Originally founded by Mr. Sempei Suzuki in 1939, Heian produced the world’s first circular cutting NC router in April 1969. Today, under the leadership of the founder’s son, Yukitomo Suzuki, the expanded manufacturing program encompasses customized CNC solutions, all designed and built in-house, including the highly renowned Heian spindle.

Over 7,000 Heian CNC routers have been installed worldwide at leading. Recently Heian has concentrated on producing even more versatile, flexible machining centers, combining routing, automatic tool changing, boring units, sawing and moulding along with robotic handling.
