DVS Training/Certification

Due to its increasing popularity, Wegener Welding will again offer the DVS Welder Training and Certification Courses this September. These courses provide a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge on thermoplastic hot gas hand and hot gas extrusion welding and offer optional certification according to DVS (German Welding Society). This certification finds acceptance worldwide as well evidenced by the recurring participation of international students. The one-week courses are designed so they are of benefit for anybody connected to the industry, whether it is relative newcomers to the thermoplastic welding field, experienced shop personnel, supervisors, engineers or company managers and/or owners. The instructor is a CWT from SKZ (Southern German Technical Institute) and he is assisted by Patty Zitkus of Wegener Welding, now in her tenth year of certification. The courses are purposely kept small to be able to give each student maximum time and attention. The starting dates for each course at Wegener’s Burr Ridge, Illinois (Chicagoland) location are September 17 and 24. Recertification of previously certified welders is scheduled for September 6 and 7. The latest edition of the DVS guidelines and books are also available through Wegener Welding.
