Plaskolite Adds Cell Cast

Plaskolite, Inc., the largest U.S. manufacturer of continuously processed acrylic sheet products, announces the coming addition of cell cast acrylic to its product line to better support its worldwide customer base. Plaskolite has formed a joint venture with Isik Plastik, a leading Turkey-based manufacturer of thermoformed plastics, to build a state-of-theart cell cast acrylic manufacturing facility which is scheduled for completion during the second half of 2013

“Our soon-to-be-completed cell cast manufacturing facility will provide our customers with a level of product choice, service and quality that has been unavailable in the industry,” said James R. Dunn, President and CEO of Plaskolite. “As we’ve said before, our customers’ best interests are at the forefront of every decision we make. This venture is yet another example of our commitment to our customers located in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.” Cell cast acrylic, a product that has a high chemical resistance, gauge and color range, is an entirely new product line for Plaskolite. It will be produced in Malatya, Turkey, at the new Plaskolite and Isik Plastik plant, a facility which will also have the capability and manufacturing capacity for possible future expansion of Plaskolite’s and Isik’s current product offerings.
