Sustatec Opens First U.S. Plant
SUSTATEC LLC, a member of the SUSTAPLAST Group of Companies, announced the opening of its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Exton, PA. The new 25,000 sq. ft. plant is designed specifically for the production of high performance engineering stock shapes for machined plastic parts. Products can be produced from a range of specialty base resins or compounded materials incorporating reinforcements, lubricants, flame retardants, or electrically conductive additives. Industrial markets include semiconductor, medical, defense/military, chemical processing, oil, gas and petrochem, aerospace, telecommunications and electrical/electronics.
"We are the only company in the U.S. to dedicate a facility to the manufacture of products made with high performance and custom engineering plastics such as PEEK™ Radel®, Ultem®, Fortron PPS®, Valox®, Cycoloy® and Xenoy®," says Ken Schwartz, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Requirements for specialty products are more complex and need more attention to detail than a supplier of commodity stock shapes can provide. Having a single focus allows us to concentrate on providing the high level of service, technical support and quality necessary for the fulfillment of specialty and custom orders."
