CLEARING THE AIR..ABOUT DUST CONTROL
Keeping your workplace dust free not only improves health and safety conditions, but can also be an effective means of reducing maintenance and heating costs. An added benefit of a cleaner, healthier working environment is greater productivity.
Dust collection systems are available in either portable or stationary configurations. They are designed to filter out plastic particles produced during the manufacturing process. Your particular system requirements hinge on the size of the area you need to keep dust free. A dust collection system consists of a hood, a dust collector, fan and ductwork.
Advances in motor efficiency and filtration technologies afford the end user with maximum dust control system performance. Latest filter cartridges are manufactured either from pleated cellulose or a synthetic material. Synthetic filter material is capable of trapping minute plastic dust particles.
Heavy gauge steel construction will enhance sound dampening as well as provide superior damage resistance.

Abest Division of Belfab, sold through Rudolf Bass, Inc., offers an LW Modular dust collection system with a size range of 3 to 15 hp motors. Size capacity range is from 1400 cfm to 4500 cfm. The advantage of the Belfab LW Modular unit is that it allows the user to combine the number of modules desired to the selected fan module. The inlet location may also be designed so that it is on the top, bottom, right or left allowing for most efficient shop placement. Circle No. 96.

The Coral Dust Collector CA/IC is a 1 to 3 hp single bag system with a size capacity range to 1890 cfm. It is designed for indoor use and has a castered base. Capable of performance for up to 3 stations, The Coral Dust Collector is available through Atlantic Machinery. Circle No. 98.
Boshco, Inc. offers Dustek brand dust collectors which are available in 3 hp through 20 hp configurations with one to four dustbags per unit. Circle No. 99.
Dust Technology, Inc. units are designed to extract plastic particles and are constructed of heavy gauge steel throughout to resist damage and enhance acoustic dampening. Units run from 2250 cfm through 6250 cfm to meet all shop environments. Circle No. 100.
