PREMIUM TFE TEE FITTINGS
A new line of premium grade barbed tees is now available from Ark-Plas Products, Inc. Premium grade fittings are designed for exacting instrument applications. They feature a newly designed barb without a parting line; and a sharp barb eliminates any possibility of flash or mold mismatch that may provide a leak path causing the fitting to fail. The company is now stocking their line of premium grade TFE connectors in 100% virgin material traceable to lot number. Tees are available for 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16" and 1/4" internal tubing diameters. Premium tee fittings are designed for ease of use. Fittings designed for internal tubing diameters from 1/16" through 5/32" have a barb 1.5 times the internal tubing diameter. Fittings designed for 3/16" through 1/4" have barbs 1.4 times the internal tubing diameter. After much testing, Ark-Plas Products, Inc. has found these barb to tubing ratios to provide both high pressure capabilities and ease of assembly. Unlike multiple barb fittings that can allow the tubing to bridge between the barbs, their single barb design lets the tubing relax behind the sharp barb to ensure a secure leak proof seal.
