CALCULATE VOLUME/AREA
A new software program called CVA (Calculate Volume and Area) has been released by DynaPrise, Inc. CVA was written to be of assistance to those needing to calculate the volume or area of various geometric shapes. CVA is graphical in nature and mouse driven. Graphical means that all the shapes are drawn for you on the screen. This greatly increases your recognition of each geometry. Mouse driven means that on a general usage, the keyboard is not used at all. CVA eliminates the possible math errors of complicated formulas. The program knows the formulas and does them correctly each and every time. It keeps track of those calculations and produces a final value. CVA comes with a database of over 400 plastics and metals along with their specific gravities. Once a material is selected, CVA will calculate the proper part weight in English or in Metric. Additional materials can be added. Data can be logged to a file or printed out for a permanent record. Dimensions and materials can be varied to allow a review of various part configuration possibilities.
