Canon U.S.A., Encoder Products, has introduced the LDV Sensor (Laser Doppler Velocity Sensor), an ultra-compact laser process control device that provides highly accurate, non-contact velocity measurement of moving objects. The LDV Sensor is ideally used in plastics products processing as the media is extruded, processed, produced, sized, cut or finished.
