GEOMETRIC ACRYLIC DESIGN
William Boyd Jr. has a plastics shop behind his home in Painesville, Ohio. He lives there with his wife of 30 years, Marianne. As a teenager Bill learned about plastics fabrication from his father's best friend, Andrew Kebort, who owned and operated a one man shop for 60 years. He started by building display cases for museums and galleries and designed pieces of contemporary furniture for private individuals. In late 1995 he decided that sculpting out of acrylic plastic was possible and went to work on a few ideas and currently has 15 different designs considered highly contemporary.
