NEW PROCESS FOR NYLON & ACETAL SHEET
Sustaplast Engineered Plastics has announced a calander-extrusion process for acetals and nylons that produces large 4 ft x 8 ft sheet sizes. The calander-extrusion process provides sheets with glossy surfaces that end-users fabricate into: gaskets, discs, bearings, gears, pulleys, seals, bushings, guides, couplings, etc. The components are applied in a wide variety of industries, such as: food processing, chemical, medical equipment, fluid handling, automotive and textiles, among others. The larger sheets allow fabricators to reap the production benefit of higher cut yields.
Calander-extruded acetal and nylon sheet is available in sizes up to 48-inch by 96-inch long. Thickness range is from 0.125- to 0.50-inch and is available in natural or black. Sustaplast calander-extruded sheets are available in other high performance plastics.
