SAFEGUARDING FOR WORK CELLS
SICK Optic-Electronic offers a new WSU/WEU 26/2, single beam, non-contact safety sensor to guard access to hazardous, power-driven machinery. The unit consists of a sender and a receiver. If the infrared light beam is interrupted it causes the safeguarded machinery to stop in time to avoid damage or injury. This single beam device can also be used with corner mirrors to maximize coverage. The unit is available with 24 V DC, 115 V AC or 230 V AC input voltages. There are models for both short or long range operations. All models have a heated front lens so that they may operate in extreme conditions.
