SLATE GRAY PULTRUSIONS
The EXTREN(r) Series 525 structural shapes are now being produced in a new slate gray color. This change from the previous haze gray color to a darker slate gray is a significant technical improvement, since the new darker gray pigment improves resistance to fading better than the previous color. After exposure to ultraviolet light, the haze gray color used previously could fade to a green color and be confused with the series 500. There was also some color variation from mix to mix with the haze gray pigment. The new slate gray allows more color control in processing which assures your customer of a more consistent product.
