SYNTHETIC LEATHER
A new brochure describing a material that looks, feels and performs like leather, but is stronger, more chemical- and water-resistant, and is supplied on rolls for the high-yield manufacturing of products, is being offered by Bixby International Corp.
The TANERA(r) Brochure describes this material which is made from a densely laid saturated polyester non-woven substrate with a polymer finish and looks and feels like real leather. A chart comparing the properties of this synthetic to actual leather and vinyl relative to tensile strength, elongation, tongue tear, stitch tear, and hydrolytic stability is provided.
The 4-page full-color brochure explains how this material can be supplied in a variety of grains and colors from .06" to .15" thick, can be split, skived, folded, cemented, heat set, injection molded, and custom finished.
