NEW LASERS FOR PLASTIC
Preco Industries, Inc., has introduced a new line of laser cutting and marking systems to provide solutions for the plastics industry. The PLG2026 multi-purpose laser processing system features a dual-head beam delivery approach, allowing cutting and marking of products without any material handling requirements. It also features a traditional fixed mirror beam delivery system with assist gas capabilities for processing thicker materials. The system achieves high speed marking and cutting of thin materials in a single-solution platform. Cutting and marking can also be performed on nested parts located anywhere on the 20" x 26" work area. The PL54 and PL105 laser cutting systems for processing sheet plastic stock. The PL54 has a 48" x 60" cutting area, and the PL105 has a 60" x 120" cutting area. Available laser power ranges from 50 watts to 500 watts. Features of the PL54/105 include z-axis height following, multiple material support configurations, and multiple cutting heads to achieve higher production throughput. The PL23 general purpose laser cutting system provides an entry level industrial laser cutting solution for plastic, acrylic, thin films, and membrane materials. The new system provides an excellent solution for samples, short production runs and prototyping. It is constructed with high-performance steel band drives with true linear bearing guides. The 24' x 36" cutting area is enclosed in a CDRH Class I safety enclosure.
