Belco Chemical Ltd., manufacturer of Plex-Weld Acrylic Cements, has created additional formulas for several of its products.
A non-EDC (ethylene dichloride) formula,Plex-Weld #5, has been created for use in states like California, which classify Ethylene Dichloride a carcinogen.
A less aggressive formula Cold Chemical Dye, has also been created for the internal carving artists who need vibrant color without attacking the plastic and potentially ruining the delicate artwork carved inside the acrylic. The original Plex-Weld Cold Chemical Dye is still available.
PVC-106 may now also be ordered in an ultra thick syrup form. Used on PVC and ABS, PVC-106 will bond rigid vinyl to metal.
