ULTRASONIC WELDER

Sonics & Materials, Inc. introduced the ElectroPress ultrasonic plastic welder. This new, ultra-precision welder features a stepper motor transport that controls the advancing speed and final position of the ultrasonic horn.

Because of its positioning accuracy, the welder is most appropriate for plastic welding applications that require precise final dimensions or exceptional repeatability. The new press is capable of positioning the welding horn to tolerances of +/- 0.0003" through a broad range of velocities.
