THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE PLASTICS
A new series of thermally conductive plastic compounds is being introduced by Mack Plastics Corporation.
Mack TCP plastic compounds are thermally conductive plastics that can be formulated to conduct up to 600°F with thermal conductivity of 20+ W/mK, which exceeds stainless steel. Combining th manufacturing advantages and lighter weight of plastic with the high thermal conductivity of metals, these custom formulated from thermoplastic polyimides, PEEK®, PPS, LCPs, and engineering plastics, the compounds can incorporate ceramic-, carbon fiber-, and other fillers. The firm can assist with specifying the best materials and manufacturing techniques; including prototype development, finish machining, secondary operations, and assembly.
