PRICE INCREASE FOR PLASTIC ADDITIVES

Elf Atochem North America, Inc. has announced that it will increase the price of its additives for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), effective November 15, 1999."Recent increases in raw material costs and escalating health, environmental and safety costs make this increase necessary," said Lincoln Ying, General Manager, Plastic Additives. "Restoring margins is needed to allow investment in new production units and technologies to meet future customer requirements.
