ACRYLIC BLOCKS

Builders Accessories, Inc. unveiled its patented acrylic block "breathing" method. The improved blocks eliminate the potential for block performance failures caused by environmentally induced stress. The blocks "breathe," equalize interior and exterior pressures to relieve stress points.

Sealed blocks experience unnecessarily high stress levels, making them susceptible to many types of block failures. Environmental demands such as changes in temperature and air pressure, coupled with certain chemical cleaners, stress and weaken the blocks, often leading to cracks and loss of seal. Other failures can show up after several years as the block surface expands and contracts daily, weakening the acrylic block surface, according to Erick Felsch, Marketing Manager.

The blocks are molded from one of the highest quality, impact-resistant, U.V. stable acrylic materials available. Windows glazed can withstand wind loads up to 186 MPH. They are available in many shapes and sizes.
