THERMOFORMABLE, LASER-CUTTABLE FILM MASKING

Ineos Acrylics Inc. (formerly ICI Acrylics) announced a new generation of thermoformable, laser-cuttable film masking for its Lucite® CP and Lucite® L brands of acrylic sheet products. Unlike typical film masking, which must be removed prior to heating, the new masking on Lucite® acrylic sheet can remain on the acrylic to protect the sheet during and after heating processes.

Utilizing advanced, exclusive technology, the new protective film masking will not bubble during normal thermoforming, line-bending or laser-cutting. Afterwards, it can be easily removed without sticking or melting. An additional benefit of the new technology film is reduced friction, which decreases sawdust and enables easier sheet handling.
