DUAL HOLDDOWN SYSTEM
Accu-Router, Inc. announced that their
Series III-C model is now available with the patented Roller Assist and a
high-output, bleed-through vacuum system for increased user productivity. The
addition of a flotation ball motion system allows for near continuous
production. This is an ideal package for panel processing and an Accu-Router
exclusive.
The combination of the systems results in
several user benefits; a single panel can be processed using either holddown
approach, long, narrow parts can be effectively held with the rollers, small
square or rectangular parts can be held with the vacuum system, a user can
machine stacked panels with the rollers, and either system is "out of the
way" when using the other.
The key advantage comes when using both
individual systems together. To machine a single panel, piece parts are held
more effectively than if held by either system alone. There is more
"bite." This allows for higher machining rates while holding down even
smaller parts, and better edge finish due to less vibration. This feature is
valuable with high-speed machining or a lot of cornering.
The flotation balls in the table allow for
the substrate panel and panel to be machined and rolled in together. Once the
machining cycle is over, the cut parts and substrate panel are rolled off to a
side-adjacent table and two new panels are rolled in. Near continuous production
is the result.
