WELDING CONFERENCE
The American Welding Society (AWS) G1A
Sub committee on Hot Gas Welding and Extrusion Welding of Thermoplastics will
host the DVS/AWS Conference and Exhibition on Plastics Welding October 24-25, 2000
in Orlando, FL. Presented will be the newly translated DVS (German Association
for Welding Techniques) recommendations of thermoplastics welding to the North
American Industry. Open to anyone connected to thermoplastics welding, the
conference offers the opportunity to learn about welding, techniques, design
calculations, welder training, testing, materials and equipment.
Approximately 6 experts, leaders or members
of the individual AG W 4 groups presentation of recommendations by DVS AG W 4
Welding of Thermoplastics Materials will address welding of pipe and sheet, hot
air welding, extrusion welding, heated element welding, requirements for
machines and equipment, testing of welded joints, investigate the latest
research in pipe welding (PP, PVDF, HDPE), testing of piping, design
calculations for containers and apparatus, and heated tool butt welding,
ultrasonic welding, vibration welding, high frequency welding, and friction
welding.
