DSM Engineering Plastic Products has signed a letter of intent to sell the machining assets of its Alpha Precision Plastics operation in Houston, TX to OEM Components, Inc.

OEM Components has a strong commitment to the manufacture of finished parts for oil-field sealing applications, and with its patents on unique technology is well positioned to market finished seals to the oil industry. Glen Steady, President of DSM Engineering Plastic Products, says, "This agreement allows both parties to focus on their primary activities. DSM will continue to invest in developing plastic machining stock for critical applications." OEM President Dave Morvant agrees. "Our acquisition of this equipment enhances our ability to serve our current customers and continue to grow." The transition should be complete by July.
