LARGE LASER CUTTING SYSTEM

A large format laser cutting system for precisely cutting, drilling, and engraving of acrylic and other thermoplastic materials has been introduced by Hendrick.

The Hendrick/Eurolaser large format cutting system has modular interchangeable tool heads, an open architecture, and a control unit that is software independent and works interactively with control functions and machine feedback. Featuring a Synrad sealed CO2 laser, this sys tem performs true non-contact high speed cutting, drilling, and engraving of intricate pieces with superior edge quality and high accuracy.

Eliminating the material losses, tooling, and re sharpening costs associated with mechanical cutting, the lasers large format cutting system is available with work areas ranging from 31.5" x 51" up to 71" x 98". Providing 0.04 to 29.5" per second cutting speed and 200" per second2 acceleration, the measuring system accuracy is 0.0002", addressable resolution is 0.0004", and mean static repeatability is 0.0008".
