ACETAL PRICE INCREASES

BASF announced that it is increasing the price of its Ultraform® acetal copolymer resins by $0.08 per pound effective December 1, 2000. The company stated that the increase is needed to offset increasing costs in raw materials and energy, which it can no longer absorb. The market demand for polyacetal resins and custom compounds continues to grow in the U.S. and globally and requires continued investment by BASF to meet customers' requirements for innovative, high quality products and services.
