BOBCAD-CAM™ announced its newest release, version 18.0, with many new features enhancing CNC programming. This version offers complete 32 bit programming with increased accuracy and long file names. Multiple windows allow the user to work on more than one drawing at a time or to view and draw a 3-D part from different angles simultaneously. Another added feature is dynamic rotation in 2-D and 3-D.

While maintaining ease of use through its interface, the software now also supports Object-Action drawing mode. Dimensioning has been expanded with more attributes including ordinate dimensioning. The number of uncommon controllers that it supports has also been expanded. Users can choose their own icons, which can be docked.

One of the highlights of the new features is a Basic interface allowing users to record actions and sequences and then modify them before playing them back. Now users can write enhancements or customize programs which interface directly with BOBCAD.
