HOT KNIFE

FTM, Inc., a manufacturer of thermoplastic strip heaters and a distributor of plastic fabrication supplies, has added the ZETZ-9 Thermocutter and accessories to their 2001 catalog. They have tested the ZETZ-9 and found it excellent for scribing acrylic, making the old method outdated! In addition, this hot knife is designed to easily cut materials such as Styrofoam, Polyethylene, PVC, ABS, Rubber and others. The ZETZ-9 is a compact hand held unit with a new and improved transformer built into the handle. The spring loaded on-off switch is easily held in the "on" position. The blade heats up quickly and temperature is adjustable by finger tip. The blades can be changed by simply loosening the handy thumb screws. A variety of blades are available to fit many different applications.
