Sheet Manufacturer Brings Production to U.S.
The leading United States provider of corrugated polycarbonate sheets, Palram Industries, a multinational thermoplastic sheet manufacturer based in Ramat Yohanan, Israel, has begun production in it's new state-of-the-art facility known as Suntuf 2000, Inc. Located in Allentown, Pa., this is the first Palram Industries manufacturing facility to be built in the United States and was constructed to meet the growing demand for polycarbonate sheeting.
The addition of this facility increases Palram Industries' worldwide polycarbonate sheet production capacity to 30,000 tons annually, allowing them to stand firm as the third largest producer globally.
Suntuf 2000 was custom built to house two production lines, as well as warehousing, cutting and grinding. The manufacturing facility will contain a minimum of three production lines within three years, to continue to meet the growing market demand and add to the range of products manufactured at the facility. Built with the future in mind, the site will eventually contain six extrusion lines.
Their line of flat, corrugated, solid and foamed, sheet is extruded from polycarbonate and PVC and is very diversified. Each individual product line is designed for a specific application from the highest light transmission in all weather conditions, and anti-condensation systems to anti-algae systems.
The Sunsky sheets are available in nine- and 12-inch profiles to match corrugated metals. These sheets are used for skylight and sidelight applications in commercial and industrial structures.
