Stan Mech Agencies Inc. announced the appointment of Brian Grist as Technical Sales Representative in the Toronto office and Sam Bellissimo as Technical Service and Repair Specialist in the Toronto Repair Center.

The Plastics Group, Inc. announced the addition of Michael Keebaugh to their outside sales force. Michael will be covering the Arizona marketplace for all of the manufacturer’s represented by TPGI in the state of Arizona. The Plastics Group, Inc. is a manufacturer’s representative covering the Rocky Mountain Region for sheet, rod, tube and film products. With the addition of Michael, TPGI now has four sales offices.

HTG is pleased to announce the promotion of Louise Bowen to Accounting Manager, and the appointment of Anthony D’Angelo to Senior Financial Analyst.

Mark J. Scott was named Vice President of Human Resources for Saint-Gobain Corporation. He assumed this position in addition to his role as Vice President of Human Resources for CertainTeed Corporation, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain Corporation. He succeeds Dennis J. Baker, who was named senior advisor to the CEO and continues as Vice President of Human Resources of the parent company's Abrasives Division. Additionally, Saint-Gobain BTI, Inc. has made the following personnel changes. Phil Harmon, previously SGBTI’s corporate controller, has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Finance, Ron Vitelli has joined the company as Mid-Atlantic Region sales representative and David Jansen has joined Saint Gobain BTI, Inc. as Technical Sales Manager.

Founder Max Plumhoff announced that Stephen M. Plumhoff has been promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of Plastics Dynamics, Inc. of Granger, IN.

Omnexus™ announced the appointment of Michael J. Walsh as its Chief Financial Officer.

HPG International has promoted Douglas Siegrist to the position of Plant Manager. He will oversee day-to-day operations of the company’s 250,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Mountaintop, PA.

International Plastics, a business unit of Minkus Plastics Corporation announced the promotion of Jeff Bruchs to Operations Manager. I.P. has also relocated their California warehouse operations from Camarillo to Oxnard.

Robert L. Russell, President of CO-EX Corporation, manufacturers of Macrolux and Rooflite polycarbonate sheet, promoted Tami Churchill to the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Also, Dave D’Anna has been promoted from Customer Service Manager to North Eastern Regional Sales Manager.

PressCut Industries announced the appointment of Greg Watson to Vice President and General Manager of the O-ring division. John Hennebery succeeds Watson as Vice President, Sales.

Michael Feld has been made West Coast Account Manager for Ensinger Inc.

Ticona announced that Rita Kroeber joined the company as North American Communications Manager. She previously was Manager, Corporate Communications, at Foster Wheeler Corporation.

Asahi/America, Inc. has named Jacques (Jack) Couillais, the new Manager of High Purity Sales. He will lead the development of High Purity sales domestically and internationally. Additionally, Rodney Van has been named the new Regional Manager of High Purity Sales for the eastern half of the United States. He will focus on supporting semiconductor and expanding pharmaceutical sales.

Janice Pravorne has been named Northeastern Region Sales Manager for Polygal® USA, Inc., North America’s supplier of polycarbonate structured sheet, corrugated and flat sheet for architectural and industrial applications.

Curbell Plastics announced the promotion of Eric Holle to Branch Manager of their Atlanta, Georgia distribution center.

Eastman Chemical Company announced that Roger K. Mowen has been appointed Senior Vice President of Global Customer Services and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and that Garland S. Williamson has been appointed Senior Vice President, Worldwide Operations and Chief Health, Safety and Environmental officer.

Tom Garrett has replaced Steve Hulbert as President of Total Plastics.

Pleiger Plastics Company announced the appointment of Ms. Kristin Stefanick as Inside Sales Representative.

Additinally, Pleiger Plastics is celebrating its 15-year anniversary and is in the process of the third major expansion to its manufacturing facility.

On April 11^th, 2001, Acrilex, Inc. sadly said farewell to their good friend and colleague, Mike Caffarello, who succumbed to Cancer. Having established our Horsham, PA branch, Mike worked diligently for almost a year to establish Acrilex’s presence in the Pennsylvania and Southern NJ markets.

A veteran in the plastic industry, Mike worked for Calsak Corporation for almost 20 years and his long-standing relationships with his customers and colleagues earned him both the respect and the friendship of those with whom he came in contact. His sense of humor, charisma, and disposition also made working with him a joyful experience.

At 45 years-old, Mike leaves behind his wife Veronica, his daughter Helene, age 11, and son, Michael, age 9. Mike’s absence will be felt for a long time to come. We will all miss him and remember him warmly.
