Over 2,600 Exhibitors Registered for K 2001

Five months before the start of K 2001, 15" International Trade Fair for Plastics + Rubber, 2,647 exhibitors from 52 countries have registered to take part. The event will be held from October 25 - November 1, 2001 at the fairgrounds in Dusseldorf, Germany.

To date, 1.6 million square feet of net exhibition space in all 17 halls of the fairgrounds have been reserved by the exhibitors. Due to the construction of two new halls, K 2001 offers 2.4 million square feet of gross exhibition space.

A total of 59 percent (or 1,564 companies) of the exhibitors at K 2001 are from countries other than Germany. The leading foreign exhibitor nation is Italy with 430 companies, followed by Great Britain with 140 exhibitors, the U.S. with 134 companies, and France with 111. Germany will be represented by 1,083 exhibitors.

The number of U.S. exhibitors includes 60 companies displaying their products within two U.S. Pavilions at the show. Located in Hall 3 and 5, the U.S. Pavilions are organized by Messe Dusseldorf North America and co-sponsored by the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI).
