Pre-Drilled Split Pipe
George Fischer, Inc. has introduced factory pre-drilled split pipe for its popular +GF+ Contain-It Secondary Containment Piping System, offering improved field installation ease. Constructed from clear polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the system's retrofit capability and chemical resistance make it an ideal choice for containment piping of chemical process lines.

With the new value-added feature, split pipes are now supplied with crossover holes pre-drilled at the factory prior to shipment, with each pipe provided with hole sets on each end. The pre-drilled holes are estimated to significantly reduce installation time, provide cost-savings and faster project start-up. Further installation ease is provided by means of the system's lightweight material, interlocking construction, and predetermined fitting clip locators.

The Contain-It System's clear PVC material allows total inspection of the annular space, in many cases eliminating the need for expensive leak detection systems in above ground applications. Polyvinyl chloride's chemical resistance, high tensile strength and good impact resistance make it an ideal solution for a broad range of applications. With split pipe along its length, the can system can be installed over virtually any tested carrier system.
