Ensinger, Inc., a manufacturer of engineering plastic shapes, has announced the appointment of Chris Ranallo to a position of Vice President. Mr. Ranallo will relocate to the Grenloch, NJ facility and in his new position will take direct charge of all Maintenance, Quality and Technical departments and personnel at Ensinger’s A.L. Hyde facility. One of Mr. Ranallo’s immediate tasks will be to oversee the relocation and integration of the Ensinger Vekton Hawthorne, NJ, facility into the Hyde facility, as well as the overall integration of the Hyde works’ operation into Ensinger’s stock shape family. Ensinger Vekton® is the custom cast nylon division of Ensinger Industries, the parent company of Ensinger, Inc., which acquired A.L. Hyde Group in February of this year.

Colonial Saw announced the promotion of David Rakauskas to Vice President. Rakauskas served as the company’s senior finance and operations manager for 5 years before assuming his new responsibilities. Additionally, Dave Bull has been promoted to National Product Manager for the Striebig Vertical Panel Saw line. Bull has been with the company for 4 years, representing the Striebig line as the southeastern territory manager since 1997.

Brian Olson of The Tandem Group Inc., has successfully completed all the requirements to earn the designation of CSP ( Certified Sales Professional). This certification is the result of him completing seminars in Toronto and Kansas City which required both written and oral examinations. The "Sales for Success" program provides the opportunity to acquire and improve professional selling skills. The CSP program has been active for many years and recently IPA and MRERF have made this available to Manufacturers Representatives.

Argos Corporation, based in East Wareham, MA, announced the appointment of Hartwell Associates, Inc., as their manufacturer’s representative in the New England and Mid-Atlantic States plus eastern Canada. Argos is a custom manufacturer of monolayer and co-extruded tubing and pipe in materials such as polypropylene, PVDF, HDPE, nylons and most other thermoplastics.

Cast Nylons Limited announced the promotion of Dallas McLaughlin to inside sales covering OH, MI, IN, and KY. He previously served in the shipping department at CNL. Also, Suzanne Turk has been appointed to the inside sales department covering the Northeast. She has 10+ years of customer service and sales experience, many of which are in the plastics field. Lastly, Dana McLaughlin is the new friendly voice that greets callers to CNL.

MultiCam, Inc. announced that Russell Boudria has been promoted to Technical Support Supervisor. Russell will be responsible for overseeing MultiCam's technical service and support for the full line of MultiCam CNC Routers.

Kurt Glaser has joined Sheffield Plastics, a division of Bayer, as V.P. Marketing and Sales.

Eric Castor has been appointed manager of the Nashville Distribution Center for Regal Plastic Supply Company in addition to his previous responsibilities as the Nashville Film Conversion manager. Rob McFarlane who previously held this position is moving back to Kansas City.

E & T Plastic Mfg. Co. Inc. announced that Greg Gillen has joined the company in the position of National Sales Manager for Distributing Services. Also, Chris Geigner has been hired as an Inside Sales Representative.

Film Specialties, Inc. appointed James D. Demuth Director of Business Development for anti-condensation, anti-fog and thermoformable coating technologies. He will be based out of FSI’s headquarters in Hillsborough, NJ.

Vaccon Co., Inc., a manufacturer of venturi vacuum pumps and accessories for the automation and process control industries, announced the appointment of Vincent J. Saia as it’s new President.

Justen Jones and Bruce Wagner have recently joined Diversi-Plast Products. Jones is an Emerging Markets Sales Rep and Wagner, a member of the Emerging Markets Group, is the Eastern Region Sales Manager.

Sermatech Surface Engineering has named Sol Zittrer Regional Sales Manager for it’s Southwest Region. In his new position, Mr. Zittrer will be responsible for directing and managing the region’s existing sales force and network for authorized sales reps and distributors for the company’s fluoropolymer coatings, linings, and vessel accessories business.

Carol Jensen, formerly Executive Director, Corporate Technology and Electro & Communications Markets of the 3M Corporation, has accepted the position of Global Research & Development Vice President for the Performance Chemicals Business portfolio at The Dow Chemical Company.

DISA, a supplier of dust collection equipment, announced the promotion of Yuri Chocholko, who held the position of Sales and Applications Engineer, to Northeast District Sales Manager.

OBITUARY
Michael A. Thompson, 51, of Haverhill, MA, died in late May from injuries suffered from a fire in his apartment. Mike was an inside salesperson at Plastic Distributors and Fabricators in Haverhill for the past seven years. He had previously worked at Laminated Plastics for many years.

Born in Haverhill, MA, he graduated from Haverhill High School in 1968 and attended the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. He was a devoted father who lived for his two children. An avid sports fan, Mike was a runner and competed in city softball leagues. He was known for his quick wit and will be sorely missed by his fellow employees, family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, two daughters, a brother and a sister.
