Computer Aided Positioning
To introduce the new Model CAP Computer Aided Positioning System by Z-Laser, Carter Products Co., Inc. is offering a free literature sheet with information on the workings of the new product.
This compact device can help simplify fixture positioning chores and accelerate machine set-ups by using the power and precision of computer-directed laser light. The positioning of fixtures and parts are first stored in the unit's memory. Then, at a finger touch, the intense red laser targeting dot is moved through all the indicated positions in sequence. Position points may be arranged in groups and the system will automatically scan through all points in a group repeatedly until commanded to proceed to the next group. Simple Windows-based control software is provided for set-up and programming. Built-in level sensors automatically adjust for maximum positioning accuracy. Optional teaching mode enables creation of data points without programming.
