Bar code label printing and panel optimization help streamline production operations by maximizing panel yield, improving job tracking, reducing waste and production errors and decreasing set-up and assembly time. Manufacturing instructions, developed in the office, are sent to the saw and other production equipment. These instructions are accessed at the sliding table saw and subsequent equipment by scanning a part label using a bar code scanner or by calling up the program using the saw's controller. Part labels, generated when the operator scans the cut-list, are applied to each part. When the program is called up, the saw's axes move automatically to the desired settings.

Altendorf also offers several options to aid in the cutting of plastic sheets including a pneumatic pressure bar, coolant spray devise and variable speed control.
