Flip Pod System
Carter Products Company's Flip-Pod unit now features a lip-seal allowing direct part contact with the precision pod assembly. To insure even greater accuracy than the original, a rubber extension cup compresses when vacuum is applied. This seal flattens so the part rests on the grey grooves of the Flip-Pod body. That provides the tightest possible Z-tolerance while increasing holding power compared to the original model. One factor most customers will respond favorably to is the fact that the revisions in the product are totally compatible with previous Flip-Pod installations. All components - half-pods, retractable locators and fixed locators - function just as before.
