Pattern Projection Systems
Carter Products Company offers the 2-D Z-Laser Pattern Projection System which enables the operator to reproduce a size-for-size transfer of complete component drawings from a CAD system to the CNC-machining table with an accuracy of 1 mm/meter of projection distance. No more time wasted malting and revising manual drawings. The concept has been proven in over ten years of use in Europe. The polygons are projected in a choice of red or green lasser light that’s highly visible on almost any surface. The various dimensions; size, form, position and height may easily be changed as required.

Since the accurately projected image indicates the precise positioning of partholding fixtures or part blanks, it eliminates the tedious task of manual measurement. This helps reduce miscut parts and wasted material as well. Data can be read from computer files in HPGL, HPGL2, DXF and certain types of CNC G-code. Specifications are provided in a brochure sheet. The System can cover areas as large as 20 feet by 20 feet without losing integrity. Even larger sizes can be accommodated for larger workpieces by electronically linking projection heads and producing a mosaic image.
