Band Saw Accessories
Carter Products Company offers several accessories to enhance the performance of your band saw.

Their Stabilizer® Band Saw Guide fits many popular brands. Each kit includes a body that slips into the slot normally occupied by the saw’s upper guide. The blade simply runs against the groove on the circumference of the special Stabilizer bearing. According to Peter M. Perez, Carter President, "We feel the Stabilizer is a significant advancement for the band saw. It makes intricate cutting easier and surer, works with nearly every manufacturer’s saw, is inexpensively priced and is simple to install."

Carter’s new Quick Release™ Band Saw Tension Toggle maintains proper tension allowing band saws to cut straight and true. Most people don’t detension the blade after use. And, because of the way blade tension has been adjusted on band saws in the past, it has been a time-consuming and cumbersome task to change blades when required. The Quick Release allows band saw operators to release blade tension instantly and then return it to the pre-configured level, simplifying and speeding the whole process.

Carter has also redesigned their popular Band Saw Guides. The new design has a compact, all aluminum, machined body for added durability that provides even greater support for demanding rugged-duty applications and is especially well suited to resawing and high load situations.

Still designated as the Guidall 500 series, the newly designed guides fit saws from 14" up to 30" in wheel diameter with blade sizes from as small as 3/16" to as large as 1 1/4". The guide features two side support bearings while the third bearing is set on edge and is positioned so the back edge of the blade runs in the groove machined into the bearing’s circumference. All three bearings are fastened to the guide body by eccentrically machined studs. Movement of these studs allows adjustment for all thicknesses of blades and for a wide range of blade widths. The ball bearings are lubricated and sealed for life.
