Solvent Free, Light Curing Adhesives
Dymax Corp. manufactures the Ultra Fast™ and Ultra Light-Weld® lines of UV/visible light curing adhesives and coatings which form bonds to plastics faster than typical UV curing adhesives and offer a wide range of properties including superior adhesion, multiple viscosities, minimal shrinkage and low outgasssing.

Applications can be as diverse as rigid and flexible component bonding, laminating, dome coating, rapid proto-typing, gasketing and the bonding of clear plastics to a variety of other materials such as glass, metal, fabric and wood. Because light curing resins cure in depths of 1/4" or more they are ideal for use where varying tolerances occur between mating parts. Solvent bonding and sonic welding require precisely toleranced joint alignment to maintain good production yields. These light curing adhesives have excellent gap filling properties and can compensate for frequent variations in component dimensions.

The adhesives are 100% solvent and ODC free. Along with their excellent depth and speed of cure, these solvent-free products are an ideal replacement where elimination of ODC’s or ODC containing adhesives is desired. Crazing is also eliminated with the use of Ultra Light-Weld® adhesives.
