"Sticky-Tacky" Sawdust Eliminated
A common problem in cutting acrylics is “sticky-tacky”
sawdust that stays attached to the just cut edge. This
usually shows up on two ways: sawdust clusters on the
parts of plastic extrusion or sawdust fuses or melts to the
sides of single or stacked sheets. When this occurs on stacked sheets, they
stick together.
This
problem is bothersome
and costly as
each piece must be
deburred or cleaned
up manually. Forrest
Manufacturing has a
number of saw blade
designs that help
businesses reduce
and in most cases
eliminate this “tacky”
sawdust – fusing/melting problem. Forrest offers saw
blades in sizes from 5” to 24” for a wide range of cutting
systems and material. With over 55 years experience as
a leading producer of carbide tipped saw blades, Forrest
Manufacturing can help businesses improve their cutting
operations and bottom line. They also offer state-of-the-art factory sharpening for all makes of carbide-tipped
saw blades and router bits.
