Sheffield Plastics, Inc., a Bayer MaterialScience Company, has released a new 8- page color brochure describing their full line of polycarbonate sheet and film products for the toughest outdoor sign applications. Sheffield’s MAKROLON® sign products are produced exclusively with MAKROLON polycarbonate resin from Bayer Corporation.

The new brochure features MAKROLON SL enhanced UV-resistant polycarbonate sheet with exceptional weatherability and superior impact strength. MAKROLON SL meets stringent UL Section 48 criteria for use in electric signs. Also covered are MAKROLON® AR Polycarbonate Sheet for abrasion resistance, VIVAK HT™ Sheet, a proprietary, high performance thermoplastic sheet with enhanced UV resistance, exceptional formability and outstanding impact strength and Makrofol® EPC (Extended Performance Composite), an enhanced performance composite film with a velvet first surface and a matte second surface, offering excellent durability, weatherability and chemical resistance. A detailed chart delineates the physical, optical, mechanical, thermal and flammability properties of MAKROLON and another chart details available sizes, colors and surface textures. Thermoforming guidelines and information on material preparation, machining and decorating is also provided in the brochure.
