High-Performance ECTFE (Halar®) Sheet

High-performance ECTFE (ethylene-chlorotrifluoro-ethylene) sheet is now available from Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products. Compared to other fluoropolymer materials, Symalit® ECTFE sheet offers a unique balance of high purity, mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance. The new material can be machined easily, thermoformed and is melt-weldable. It is manufactured from the well-known Halar ® resin formulation.

Symalit ECTFE sheet is more abrasion resistant than any other fluoropolymer sheet; extremely resistant to strong bases, organic solvents and acids; an excellent dielectric material, with high dielectric strength; thermally stable to 300°F and is a non-fire propagating material which meets Factory Mutual (FM) 4910 Fire Safe Protocol requirements for the construction of semiconductor equipment.

Potential applications include: high-purity fluid handling equipment, chemical storage equipment and fire-safe semiconductor processing equipment.

Quadrant EPP offers Symalit ECTFE sheet in stock thicknesses from 0.125” to 1.0” and widths up to 48”.
