Releasable Snap Rivet
Richco, Inc. announced the latest addition to its fastener
line, the RRR releasable snap rivets. These rivets
are ideal
for applications
in which
secured components
eventually
may need
to be removed.
They are designed
to be
assembled without the assistance of an installation tool.
To install, simply place the rivet in the hole and press the
head. The legs of the rivet are designed to expand, firmly
locking the components into place. The unique design of
these parts allows for removal of the pin and rivet by simply
pulling on the side tabs. The parts come in two sizes
to accommodate panel thicknesses from .059”-.217”. In
addition to working in a round hole, they can also be
installed into a non-rotating square hole. These rivets are
manufactured out of a durable Nylon material in a black
color and are RoHS Compliant.
Door Catch and Striker
Richco, Inc. also introduced
its Door
Catch and Striker, the
DCS series. The striker,
which is offered in plastic
or metal, engages
with the catch to ensure
a secure lock.
The
metal spring on the
catch improves the
mechanical locking properties of the plastic housing. The
metal spring on the catch and metal striker make the
assembly suitable for harsh, outdoor applications.
Richco’s Door Catch and Striker offer quick installation via
an easy push fit. The striker can be released with relatively
little pull effort. The catch housing is manufactured
with durable nylon 6/6; strikers are manufactured from
durable acetal or plated steel. Parts are sold separately
and are RoHS Compliant.
