High Performance Composite

Norplex-Micarta introduced NP571HT, a high performance composite providing superior mechanical strength at continuous temperatures of up to 210°C. The high-temperature characteristics make the material ideal for numerous uses in power generation, oil and gas and aerospace applications.

In addition to superior strength, it also provides excellent machinability, outstanding dimensional stability and superior creep resistance. In use, the product maintains its physical, mechanical and electrical properties for up to a decade.

NP571HT is manufactured from multiple plies of woven fiberglass, which is saturated with epoxy resin and compressed under heat and pressure. The fiberglass-based substrate provides exceptional tensile, flexural, sheer, modulus and impact strength properties comparable to steel, making NP571HT ideal for applications requiring higher strength at elevated temperatures.
