PlastiVac Under New Ownership
Global Vacuum, Inc. announced
the acquisition of Charlottebased
Plasti-Vac, Inc. (PVI) and has
simplified the company name to
PlastiVac, Inc.
PVI manufactures vacuum and thermoforming equipment
used to mold a broad range of plastic products,
including signage, spas, point-of-purchase displays and
automotive parts.
All PVI’s employees will continue working under the new
management team, according to Martin Eichenberger,
CEO of PVI. The newly formed company will continue to
serve the company’s existing client base of small- to midsized
manufacturing and signage firms. “Customer relationships
are the most important asset we acquired in this
business. We plan to expand our service offerings to
ensure customers comprehensive support, as well as
improved technology,” said Eichenberger.
Chuck Butcher, PVI’s COO/partner, and Eichenberger
bring over 40 years combined experience in quality management
and process improvement, as well as in equipment
building and automation technology. “We believe our
expertise will greatly benefit PVI’s customers by providing
immediate and widespread improvements in reliability,
responsiveness and follow-through,” said Eichenberger.
“We’re implementing a total-management approach, partnering
with customers from initial process planning,
straight through installation, on-site training, ongoing
troubleshooting and service programs - even assistance
with material selection and sourcing for mold and plastic
suppliers. Our strategy is to provide a customized turnkey
solutions program for each individual customer.”
