New Display Components

ABC Plastics, Inc. introduced five new products for plastic fabricators that decrease assembly time, increase hardware strength and add more style to plastic displays.
The Monster Hinge™ was developed out of a growing need by plastic fabricators having their display cases, food bins, candy bins, show cases, etc. break by the hinge barrel section. ABC eliminated the barrel section and replaced it with large ribbed sections giving it incredible strength. The hinge is made of acrylic DR101 in clear and ABS in black for easy bonding to acrylic, ABS, styrene and polycarbonate. The size is 1 5/16” L x 2” W x 1/2” T so it can be used on small to large displays.

Another patent-pending product is their Mag-Catch™. This keeps doors and lids closed while giving a very clean, stylish look to products made out of acrylic, ABS, styrene and polycarbonate. This is the only magnetic door catch that is solvent bondable to plastic without screws or rivets. It is available in two sizes; small 7/8” L x 3/8” W x 7/16” H and large 1-3/4” L x 3/8” W x 3/4” H in either clear or black.

They also offer the new Deco-Hasp. The patent-pending design is virtually unbreakable. There are two styles to meet your needs: a flat mount and a corner mount. It is available in a clear acrylic DR101 or black ABS. The sizes are 1 3/8” L x 3/4” W x 7/16” H (z-bracket) and 7/8” L x 3/4” W x 3/4” H (l-bracket)

Their new Sawtooth Hanger is very easy to bond with a larger bonding surface for greater strength. Made out of a clear acrylic, it is solvent bondable and measures 2 1/4” W x 3/4” H x 1/4” D.

For putting shelves into plastic displays ABC has introduced the patent-pending Shelf Tracker™. This saves time and is the easiest way to align adjustable shelves. No need for measuring devices or jig fixtures. It is 12” high, but if you need more height, just stack a second Shelf Tracker™ on top for perfect alignment. It is made for shelves up to 1/4” thick. Solvent bondable, it is available in clear acrylic and measures 12” L x 5/16” W x 3/8” T.
