Mirror in Vibrant Colors

CYRO Industries, a subsidiary of Evonik Degussa Corporation, announces the addition of 10 vibrant colors to its popular ACRYLITE® Reflections™ Mirror acrylic sheet. The new colors provide the same advantages of the existing colorless ACRYLITE Reflections sheet, including the reflective quality of glass with the safety and fabrication advantages of acrylic sheet, making them excellent choices for point-of-purchase and store fixture applications.

The 10 new colors are: blue, bronze, gold, green (two shades), pink, purple, red, slate grey and yellow.

The sheet has excellent shatter-resistance, so designers avoid the hazards of sharp glass edging and it is easily fabricated, cut, polished, formed, bent and machined to designer specifications. All ten colors are available in stock in standard 0.118” x 49” x 97”. Custom sizes are also available upon request.

HEATSTOP Acrylic Sheet

CYRO also announces the introduction of ACRYLITE® HEATSTOP acrylic sheet, an infrared-reflecting polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) that has a number of performance advantages to make it well suited for “green” buildings. Specially designed for domed roof light applications, ACRYLITE HEATSTOP sheet reflects a large portion of incident solar radiation to limit the amount of heat entering a building while allowing an abundance of natural sunlight, thereby helping reduce energy consumption.

Due to its favorable light diffusion, the sheet provides even and uniform natural lighting, while its IR reflecting properties help to reduce energy costs. If ACRYLITE HEATSTOP sheet is used in place of traditional acrylic glazing materials, average annual air conditioning costs can be lowered by as much as one third. At the same time, the sheet also allows natural sunlight to illuminate interiors, reducing dependence on electrical lighting.

The design of the sheet also produces installation advantages, as it can be cold-curved and thermoformed to fit a variety of designs.

ACRYLITE HEATSTOP sheet comes in three standard thicknesses; custom thicknesses are also available. The sheet is a translucent white in color, but the tint will vary slightly depending on the viewing conditions and incident lighting.
